More firm, and not as chewy but the flavor was great.

They baked much quicker than with honey so start testing not much more than twent minutes in.

Stephanie, I use honey from Costco that is source certified - not good raw, local honey for baking. It's not my favorite but I don't think it would overwhelm the chocolate peanut butter flavor. Coconut sugar would probably be my preferred sub. I love the flavor it gives baked goods and it's a lower glycemic sweetener if I remember correctly.

Nicole, the original recipe I refereced is from Elana's Pantry and she uses almond butter. I've made her recipe a dozen times and we adore it. She uses a little less cocoa and mixes dark chocolate in the batter instead of sprinkling mini chips on top. chachahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05025370334834196885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053819217208855715.post-22280458917341673882014-08-29T10:44:53.681-07:002014-08-29T10:44:53.681-07:00Could I use almond butterCould I use almond butterAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01044311718428848405noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053819217208855715.post-63615285876223393272014-08-29T10:32:03.006-07:002014-08-29T10:32:03.006-07:00Can you use half honey half maple syrup?
