Feingold Family Favorites

The Feingold Organization has been a huge blessing to my family.  It has helped us keep artificial colors, flavors and preservatives out of our family's diet since 2005.  This is when we learned that Yellow 5 gave our youngest severe migraines.

This week hearings were held regarding dyes and ADHD.  Here's an ABC News clip of the hearings. This mom is a Feingold mom.

Here's a link to The Chart on CNN regarding the vote.  It was wonderful to see Dr. Feingold's name in print.

So there will be more research and more studies and I'm glad for that, I just wish it wasn't necessary and that action was taken here like it was so very many months ago in England.  It makes me more than a little crazy that our kids get petroleum based dyes in their candy from the very same manufacturers that supply the very same candies in England made with safe food based dyes.

I have a copy of the Feingold Family Favorites cookbook that needs a loving home.  It is unused and full of recipes submitted by Feingold members - about 140 pages worth.   Sunday afternoon we'll choose a random winner and I'll mail to the winner as soon as I can get to the post office!  Just leave a message about what Feingold has done for you you or your family or something healthy for yourself or your family.

We have been doing the Feingold diet for 2 years now. We started it for my dd who has sensory processing disorder. We immediately noticed a difference in her behavior. She stopped throwing tantrums and also did not have any meltdowns. We were also pleasantly surprised that her night-terrors stopped. We still have bad days (usually caused by an illness which throws her off), but our lives have been so much better thanks to the Feingold diet!

We started FG almost 9 months ago to help my 3-year-old who had just been diagnosed with ADHD, highlighted by aggression, lack of focus, and anxiety. His behavior has improved beyond words! FG also helped our 9-year-old daughter to have less moodiness and anxiety. She is such a happy child now. We had to go further with her for some health issues, and are now gluten and casein free as well, but FG started us down the path to finding her food triggers.

We'll pass on the cookbook as I already have one. It's a great resource!! One of my favorite recipes is for honey mustard chicken.

We started Feingold in October 2010, and it has been a blessing. I see improvements everyday! My son will be off medicine by the end of the year (YAY), and for the first time ever we have went on a family vacation with no screaming outbursts from my daughter. Everyone got along wonderfully! I truely would recommend Feingold to anyone, as everyone could benifit from the healthier eating habits without all the dyes and artificial flavors and preservatives.

We started Feingold in December to help our 8 year old son who has anxiety, OCD and ADHD. His behaviour at home has improved so dramatically. I could have never imagined that seemingly nutritious foods could have affected anyone like that, he is living proof of how well Feingold works! No more aggression, tantrums, he is much morer reasonable now and his OCD is much better too.

We started the Feingold diet about 7 months ago. We had never heard of it before. After researching it we decided to try it instead of medication for DS10. DS is much happier, his behavior has been better, he has been nicer to his brother, he can concentrate better and his handwriting is much better. The school year is going great and no more fighting about doing homework. We knew that the diet was helping him when something would happen and he DIDN'T react to it or didn't react as badly.

We have just started the Feingold program about 2 weeks ago. I'm very interested in seeing the changes that it can potentially have for our family, especially our children. I'm constantly looking for new recipes so the kids don't get bored with the meals I am currently making.

We started Feingold about 9 months ago out of desperation! How can such sweet boys turn into monsters? Life is much nicer these days, not perfect but better. We have been CF for years and just started GF hoping to clear up skin issues.

We homeschool our kids. I start our days working with my son (1st grade) before working with my daughter (in 9th). His fits and lack of concentration always started our day on the wrong foot. We started the Feingold program about 6 weeks ago. I saw an improvement in my sons concentration level within the first week!! Now we have much better mornings!

Some of the recommended brands have been hard to find, but it has been worth it! Thank you!!

We have been on feingold since July 2010 and it has helped our DD tremendously. She can focus better and she is much less angry. It is a wonderful program and I am so blessed to have found it.
